Trying to find romantic date ideas without having to spend a lot of money can be difficult. Sometimes it seems like it’s just set up that when you go on a date, you have to end up spending a lot of money for your date to have a good time. However, this isn’t necessarily true. You can make sure that your date has a great time without spending a lot of money. In fact, depending on what you already have at home, you may not have to spend any money for these cheap and romantic date ideas.
Hit the Beach
Obviously, you’re going to have to wait until it’s warmer for this one, but one great and cheap date is to enjoy some food and maybe even a DVD or two while lounging on the beach. You can either go the typical method of grabbing a blanket and lying it down for the two of you to sit on, or you can grab a couple of beach chairs and a TV tray and make it your makeshift table.
Make sure the two of you try to find a more secluded area on the beach away from other people. You don’t want any flying beach balls or volleyballs to land in your food or knock over one of your drinks. If possible, try picking a spot that is close to the restrooms, so if your date needs to excuse herself, she won’t have to walk too far. If you’ve opted for bringing a TV tray along, make sure to pack a candle or two and a flower inside of vase to add a bit of romance to your date. You can find candles and vases at dollar discount stores and you can easily pick a flower for free.
Enjoy the Chill
When it’s cold out, you can skip the traditional dinner and a movie date and embrace the cold weather. You and your date and slide on your ice-skates or skis and enjoy a bit of Mother Nature. If she’s never ice-skated or skied before, it gives you the perfect opportunity to hold her hand and help her out along the way. Do not use this chance to cop any cheap feels. Rather, you should take this time to be encouraging and sensual toward her. Make sure to give her plenty of compliments about how well she’s doing, but also make sure to playfully include how beautiful she looks even when she’s falling down.
After the two of you are through with the cold, you can either stop by a coffee shop or have your own coffee or hot chocolate prepared and stored in a thermos to warm her up. We recommend something sweet and flavorful like hot chocolate with peppermint or caramel vanilla coffee, especially for her. But it’s best that you find out what she likes and stick with that.
You don’t have to spend a lot of money to have a romantic date. All you really need to do is show her that you’re capable of making her enjoy things that she may have already done hundreds of times before.
